FAQs.

We are the largest provider of charitable healthcare services in our community.

Our four not-for-profit hospitals treat and care for everyone who comes through our doors, including those who cannot pay for their care. We also invest millions of dollars back into the community each year.

Here’s where you come in.

We depend on the generosity of the community we serve. Donations to the Health First Foundation ensure we are able to purchase the newest life-saving equipment, invest in cutting-edge technology, and train the next generation of wellness leaders.

Learn more about not-for-profit hospitals

The majority of our revenue comes from our hospital and outpatient services, through Medicare and Medicaid, private insurance companies, and self-paying customers.

But we operate on the slimmest of margins, typically around 1 to 3 percent.

We have a wide range of medical facilities, wellness initiatives, community outreach, and family programs. We rely on community support and participation to provide the highest level of care for our patients and their loved ones.

For example, private donations and grants help provide hospice care for all patients, regardless of their ability to pay. They also support programs such as the Center for Family Caregivers, which is a community resource offering training, support groups, and social events for families affected by declining health and physical abilities, and memory disorders.

You can also choose for your donation to be given to the programs and resources that are in the greatest need of support.
